In the 14th round of Serie A, Milan held the top spot in the standings despite being held to a tie (1-1) by Sampdoria with Robinho and Pazzini (photo) each scoring for their teams. Milan was able to hold on to its 3 points lead mainly because second-placed Lazio was also held to a tie (1-1) at home by Catania. Behind the top 2, Juventus settled for a tie at home against Fiorentina (1-1) while Napoli lost at Udinese (3-1) with DiNatale scoring all 3 goals. Inter on the contrary moved up the standings easily beating Parma (5-2) with Stankovic scoring 3 goals. Alongside Inter we find Palermo which defeated at home (3-1) a disappointing Roma. In mid-table Cagliari beat Lecce (3-2) while Bologna (which lost a 1 point penalty for financial irregularities) had to postpone its home match against Chievo because of heavy snow.
